Order Functional Testing
How it works:
I want to empower you to take healing into your hands. One of the best ways to do this is through functional lab testing. Getting started is easy.
First, read about the different labs available and decide which would be most valuable for you. If you need guidance, feel free to schedule a consult call.
Along with ordering your labs you can schedule a 75 or 90 minute intake session. An intake session is a deep-dive conversation designed to connect the dots between your symptoms, history, and lifestyle. During this session, we’ll unpack your full health story—covering digestion, hormones, energy, stress, sleep, nutrition, mindset, and environment—so I can interpret your lab results in context and identify the “why” behind your patterns. This is where we move beyond isolated data points and start understanding the whole picture of your body’s function and what it needs to heal.
I also recommend ordering lab analysis with your labs. Having an expert interpret your labs is what turns raw data into real answers. Functional labs generate a massive amount of nuanced information—patterns, ratios, and markers that only make sense in the context of your symptoms, history, and physiology. I translate that data into a clear story about what’s actually happening in your body and, more importantly, what to do about it. Without expert analysis, it’s easy to misread results or chase the wrong solutions; with it, you get clarity, direction, and a plan that’s both evidence-based and personalized to you.
Functional Labs:
GI-MAP: a comprehensive stool test that uses DNA analysis to identify gut pathogens, measure beneficial and opportunistic bacteria, assess digestion, inflammation, and immune function—providing a clear picture of what’s driving symptoms like bloating, fatigue, acne, and irregular digestion so you can target the true root causes instead of guessing.
Comprehensive Functional Blood Panel: goes beyond standard labs done by your doctor to evaluate patterns in blood sugar, thyroid, liver, kidney, and nutrient status—revealing early imbalances and metabolic trends that traditional testing often overlooks, so you can understand how your body is actually functioning and address issues before they become diagnoses.
MRT (Mediator Release Test): measures your body’s inflammatory response to 176 different foods and chemicals, identifying hidden sensitivities that trigger symptoms like bloating, migraines, fatigue, skin issues, and joint pain—so you can pinpoint which foods are fueling inflammation and create a truly personalized anti-inflammatory diet.
The HTMA (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis): measures the levels and ratios of key minerals and heavy metals in your hair, providing insight into stress response, thyroid and adrenal function, metabolism, and detox capacity—offering a deeper look at long-term mineral imbalances that blood tests often miss. This is a relatively affordable test that offers a lot of insight into the health of the body.
Important note: MRT & comprehensive blood panel is not available in New York, New Jersey, and Rhode Island. There is additional shipping costs for the GI map if you live in one of these states.
Tests are available in all other U.S. States and Canada
